I respect our government for valuing small and medium sized business. We need to keep our communities intact as we come out the other side of COVID-19 – that’s Canadian.

I teach dance lessons to nurseries, daycares, grade school, ladies styling and couples dance classes and I’ve been tremendously impacted with not only the schools shutting down but just launching my own business " Confidence In Movement " – all my private lessons, group lessons and community classes has been shut down as I decided to follow the governments ruling. My business is my main source of income and I can imagine the same for other business. Not only was it a source of income, but a wellness space for others to heal physically, mentally and emotionally through expressing themselves through dance. I am still providing classes online for these individuals that have cancelled their memberships/payments which has drastically set me behind on payments for the business and my own personal necessities. I am not personally eligible for CERB so there needs to be some sort of incentive for those business owners who do not meet the government qualifications for these funds.

    Thank you.

We’ve been completely shut down and lost 100% of our income and we owe credits to students that paid for the month of March and some that paid in full till June. We are a small circus school that make a small profit we can not afford to take on a lot of debt to keep our studio going for an indefinite amount of time even if we were to open back up at 100% of what we were before closing. We are unable to work from home and are left struggling to figure out how to make ends meet as our payroll is pretty small with just a couple part time coaches we can’t even qualify for the 0 interest loan.
