Help us raise money for small health and wellness businesses to reclaim lost revenue.
We are organizing a co-ordinated response to help fund income relief for small health and wellness businesses. We are committed to save the health and wellness community in Canada, which have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.
Together, let's try to raise $10,000 by May 25th, 2020 to assist those small businesses who may need help paying their June rent and keep their doors open.
This fund has been created to support the the small businesses who have lost revenue due to COVID-19 shut downs and are unable to pay their rents because they do not qualify for the government bailouts.
We all know that the heath and wellness industry plays a significant role in improving the physical and mental health of Canadians and we need your support to be there for their communities (examples below):
Bootcamps for Change's programming in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Waterloo and Halifax have provided homeless youth with movement and mentorship opportunities and wage subsidies for gyms hiring their youth scholarship recipients. Due to lost revenues, this program is in jeopardy of surviving.
The Health Institute is a clinic that also provides services for student-athletes and women surviving abuse by creating partnerships with local community groups from Heron Park to The Boy's and Girl's Club. The Health Institute will not be able to provide these important services with the threat of a shut down.
Chi Junky Yoga Studio community sees an average of 700 people per week. Their community classes support new teachers as well as Nellie's - a local community women's shelter. The threat of losing their business will also impact their community initiatives including this one.
